About our Plates
Laurelwood offers 8 1/8" fine china dog breed plates, with a hand-painted gold rim and an
original breed design in a rich brown color. Designs are fired into the plates and are not just decals floating on the surface.
Laurelwood artists do an excellent job of representing true breed type in each of our 63 breeds.
Each year's design is a limited edition of just 150 plates per breed. The reverse side of the plate is marked with the breed name, year and our Laurelwood name.
The plates are eggshell in color.
All our plates from 2000 forward are on our web site. However, we also have plates for many breeds dating back to 1977--the year we started
making plates. These plates are ivory colored. If you would like a brochure on available plates
for your breed prior to 2000, please Contact Us
and we will send you one promptly.
Please note that plates are a challenge to photograph and any blurs, spots or glare seen in any photographed plates are
the photographs, not on the plate itself. Also, the rims on all plates are actual gold--some photo's make the rims look
darker. Laurelwood guarantees your satisfaction.

Ok, here's the truth about our store pages. When you order from our store, you will be taken to a log in page.
This page asks you to log in and provide your password. You DO NOT need to have a log in or password! If you look between the green
strip and the log in area, you will see you can either "Create New Account" OR you can "Place Order Without Account."
If you do not want to create an account with us, just choose "Place Order Without Account." Either way, we will gladly process your order and
send you a plate--or two. If you have an account and you don't remember your information, either Contact Us
and we will send you your information or "Place Order Without Account." Thanks!

US Shipping
All Laurelwood plates are shipped Priority Mail for $7.00 for the first plate and $3.00 for each additional plate
to the same address. Each additional address is $7.00 for the first plate and $3.00 for each additional plate.
If you need your package quicker, contact us
for the actual over night shipping charge.

International Shipping
Laurelwood is grateful for, and loves, its International customers. As of May 2007, the United States Postal Service eliminated the category "Surface Shipping."
Our International orders will now be sent by the new category "International Priority Mail." While we always process and ship International orders promptly, once your plate leaves us, we have no control over International shipping times.
We are happy to ship airmail, just contact us
for the actual shipping price.

Credit card security and processing
Your personal information is safe with Laurelwood. We do everything in our power to protect your personal information
including using a multi-layered, secure server for our Internet orders. To further the security, all orders are processed by us--not by the server--which means
when you send us an order, your credit card is not charged until we receive the order and hand process it. This means if you place your order on
Saturday and we don't process your order until Monday afternoon, your credit card will not be charged until Monday afternoon.
By hand processing orders, this also means that if you discover an error in your order, immediately after pressing the "send your order" button, you can e-mail us and we can correct the order. We
strive to be easy to deal with, so don't panic if you discover you made an error. Together we will make it right. We love happy customers!

Questions or Errors
If you have a question or there is ANY problems with your order, please just contact us.
When you contact us, please make sure you include your name and invoice number--we cannot resolve any problem without the invoice number.
Whether you ordered the wrong plate, or we sent the wrong plate (we ship thousands of plates each year and we are human) we'll do everything we can to promptly
fix the problem. Also remember, since we are human, niceness counts. Our goal is happy, satisfied customers who treasure our plates.

Ordering Older Plates
If you would like to order an older plate, prior to 2000, from one of our flyers, you may do so on our web site. Just contact us and tell us which plate you
would like and we will include it with your online order. Remember, all our secure, online orders are processed by us, not by the server. It is easy for us to add something to your order when you
let us know at the same time you place your order.
If you would like a flyer of our older plates in your breed, please contact us with your postal address and we will happily send you one of our flyers.

Frames
Laurelwood has offered wood frames for our plates in the past. We are sorry to announce that the
manufacturer has discontinued the frames we have offered. So far, we have been unable to locate any
of equal quality. We are still searching and if we are able to come up with a quality product, our
valued customers will be the first to know.

Gifts and Trophys
Laurelwood is happy to send our plates as gifts--holiday, congratulations, thank you, birthday, anniversary, get well, just to say you care--to the dog lovers in your life. We will, at no
extra charge, include a card for the occasion. Also, don't forget that Laurelwood breed plates make wonderful trophies for your favorite show, trial or your Specialty. Shipping charges are as above to each address.

Authentic Laurelwood plate alert
Laurelwood has been in business since 1977 because we strive to sell only first quality plates. It has come to our
attention that there has been some attempted counterfeiting of our plates. If you have any questions about plates you
see at auction or on other web sites, please don't hesitate to contact us
for information about how to know if you are getting an authentic Laurelwood plate. By stopping the counterfeiting we are
preserving the value of your Laurelwood plates. Thank you for your help!

The best way to contact us is by E-Mail..
We are a small company with one full time and one part time employee. Our day consists of checking E-mails, processing, packing, and shipping orders.
When time allows, we also check our phone messages. The key here is "when time allows." We try very
hard to take care of our customers, but with worldwide time zones, when we have the time to return
phone calls, it is often not an appropriate hour to contact customers. So, please, if you need to contact us the most efficient way
is by e-mail. We check our e-mail frequently through out the day, our phone messages less often. Thank you for understanding.
